ABOUT the DeLand Arts District

Long recognized as “The Athens of Florida,” DeLand is known for the rich, cultural arts community enhanced by Stetson University’s stellar music and art programs.

DeLand has been voted as the “Best Main Street in America” for its authentic downtown’s many restaurants, museums, performance venues, boutique stores and more.  The designated district also includes several outdoor parks and recreational areas. Whether a gourmet foodie, a curious explorer, an entertainment buff, an art lover or a seeker of unique gifts, DeLand is where you will find what you are looking for.

ACED, the Arts Culture and Entertainment District of DeLand, was founded as a stand-alone, non-profit organization to promote the rich creative offerings of the downtown DeLand area as defined by four border roads: Plymouth to the North, Amelia to the East, Beresford to the South, and Boundary to the West.

The ACED Board consists of art enthusiasts, museum executives, restaurant and bar owners, professional artists and art collectors, all working to make DeLand the cultural center of Central Florida.
